Wreal X is a South Sudanese singer, emo rapper, and songwriter from East Africa. Deeply influenced by Juice WRLD, he masterfully blends the raw vulnerability of emo trap with the rhythmic warmth of Afrobeats — creating a sound that is both haunting and deeply resonant. His music navigates the blues, romance, love, and the harsh realities of life — each track a confession, every verse a glimpse into a soul marked by both suffering and hope.
Born to the late Mr. Taban Roy and Mrs. Santuke Koloy Kamba, Wreal X discovered his passion for music at just ten years old. He began writing rap songs as a child, pouring his emotions into lyrics long before he understood the weight of his own words. As he grew, so did his understanding of the industry and the hip-hop world, leading him to emo trap — a genre that gave voice to his pain. Through the influence of Juice WRLD, he found his true artistic identity.
His early releases, "Monalisa" and "Photo", carried Afro influences familiar to his homeland, but it was "Hurry Up" — his first trap record — that announced his arrival, surpassing one thousand streams on YouTube. Its successor, "Gang Gang", cemented his identity as a fully realized emo trap artisan: audacious in production, unflinching in lyrical candor, and utterly unlike anything emerging from his region.
Behind the music lies a young man who has faced familial opposition, institutional disillusionment, and the isolation of pioneering an unrecognized genre in a land rooted in local sounds. He has walked through broken promises from industry figures who deemed his vision too foreign, too perilous.
